ANYWAYS! let's talk about SELENATEE, -.- SHE"S LEAVING US! yes people, tragic, sad, suicide! she's leaving us for sheeps in New zealand (: ahha, no larh, she's migrating there. During Decenber right? end of this year. so guys, any plans we can do to hav a gathering or a farewell party for her? make it a memorable one. ;)

Hellooo there! Fellow humans ;)

I shall not let this blog die. And since I'm not in AGC, I'll make it up, by updating. So helloo there! How has everyone been? I think we shouldn't just rely on Janice alone to update, don't you pity her? Anyways, i'm here to make you guys update. AGC, i didn't go! SO all those who went MUST update okay?

I just wanna share with you guys about my running and how God has been real in my life. I mean He deserves everything right? So i shouldn't keep this to myself. Running season started with MSSD, where we represent our school. God really helped our school this year, as we were in the top ten. (: Then came MSSS, where we run to see who can represent our state. During this time, we had to stay at a campus. And the food there was really baad, so i wasn't that erm, full of energy. During the last day, i had my final individual event. 400m. And this was like the whole round. I was placing second overall, and i wanted to maintain it. The the last 100m, the third girl, was really close already. Before the race I asked God for a miracle, i wanted a gold. So i asked Him for it. Then, when the third girl so near, i asked God to help me get at least second. But my body really couldn't go any further. I wanted to push, but i just couldn't, my whole body literally numbed. Then, God, took over me, like literally, and helped me push beyond, till the end. Seriously.

If i showed you the video you'll believe. I know this sounds stupid or whatever, but i just felt like sharing it. I mean, running has really helped in my walk with God. My mum, told me she was so scared i would get 3rd, and she asked me how did i push myself. And i told her. It wasn't me. That was one of the many miracles God gave me.There's this verse, that says: In your weaknesses, there I am made strong. And now i think, God is really awesome. Beyond amazing.

I mean, imagine this. let's resize ourselves for a second. The universe is like a drop of water to God. In that universe, our minute little planet takes up a billionth of an atom. And if the earth isn't small enough. What about Malaysia? If that isn't small enough, Selangor? Then comes our school. And among a thousand people in that school, comes us.

AND YET, He still cares if I, an insignificant human being ~~[it's not like i'm Mahatir or Obama right?]~~ gets second in my 400m race or not. I don't know about you but, that left me speechless for awhile.

And, i just wanna say. Miracles happen everyday. Seriously, the fact that you woke up and God has given you a new day itself IS a miracle.

So before you sleep tonight, spend some time, thanking God for every single thing He's done. That he cares, for someone, as insignificant as us.

To be honest , Who dares to admit that he/she has walked just like He did?
Pure, Righteous and Selfless. Well , I don't.
But we have to start walking like He did.
When you look at the world through his eyes , You'll see a needy world.
What bout that needy world?

God is the only one who understands the entire situation from both sides, and He will guide you in your decisions if you truly want to do His will rather than your own. Mercy helps those who don’t deserve help, but unconditional love is not intended to allow people to be irresponsible while we pay the bill. Mercy gives many opportunities, and unconditional love never gives up. It prays and is ready to move out of the shadows and help when doing so will really make a difference. God wants His love to flow through us and into others. We need to learn to love ourselves in a balanced way, for we must love ourselves or we will have no love to give away. We need to receive God’s love and let it heal us. God heals us so we can bring healing to others. God wants us to transition from those who have been rescued to those who are rescuing others. Human love always comes to an end, but thankfully, the love of God does not. God promises us that His love never fails. If we truly love one another, we will bear with one another and make allowances for one another (Eph. 4:1-2). - Of thee Love Revolution.

THINK HARD. If it wasn't for HIM , Where do you think you'll be NOW?
Won't you be in their shoes ? ( The people you were suppose to reach out to ) Arent you just like the rest ? Without knowledge of WHO Jesus is and HOW much He'd sacrifice just to save you. Put yourselves in their shoes and wonder how it feels like. Living in A dark , lonely world without anyone to rely on , anyone to speak to , anyone to guide them through. I'm not trying to say that you MUST have compassion for these people. But ..

For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves , it is the gift of God - not by works , so that no one can boast.For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works , which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:8

As a Christian, each and everyone of you were given a purpose to live.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.. And surely I am with you, always , to the very end of age.

Its doesn't go like " Aiya , I don't even know this people , why should I help them ? " Or " It's not even worth it helping them after all they've done to me .. " OR " We're a higher class of people , we live in two different worlds ( high class ? more like a bunch of stuck up people ) people like them don't deserve my help " OR , " Help them ah? I manyak rugi lo! It's not like I get paid for it .." Nope. It's nothing like that! It's Because ..

I tell you the truth , whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine , you did for me. Matthew 25:31-46.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and the Greatest Commandment. Ant the second line is 'Love your neighbours as yourself. Matthew 22 : 38-39.

What about greater things? Start by just focusing on your family. Friends , and also your school.
It's not easy , and it's not EXTREMELY HARD because with God will give you strength to pull through , He didn't make all the obstacles SO VERY DE HARD and let you fail in the end. His grace is always sufficient for you , and He was plans for you. Plans to prosper you and to give you a hope and a future. He will take care of you. As long as you let His will be done , not yours.

And this is love : that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
2nd John 1 :6

Human love always has to come to an end.
But His love is true and genuine ;
Unfailing and neverending.

Express that Love.

Hey all, i want to share a testimony today ;) something that happen in school. i was in serious shock when i heard that my brother's friend kena acid on his face during science period and was admitted to hospital immediately. after we went into the car, i asked that it was the best thing to go and visit him (: although my brother wasnt very close to him, but still i manage to convince him to visit him in the hospital to see how he was doing. checking his name in the information counter, there was not any results, we then went to the emergency room to see if he's name is on the list. turns out, that he did not get into that hospital, but he went to another one. It was kind of hard as we do not know which hospital he was admitted into. i was thinking to just forget about it since he's not in the hospital we're in. But shockingly, my brother did not give up. since we don't have a phone, he was that desperate to call another friend to find out his location through a public phone. (: and even asking people around if there's such name of such hospital near by.

I want to Thank God for what happen today, it gave me an impact to know that we should care for our love ones like how He did for us. (: even though he's not really a close friend to my brother but i still feel very happy to see that he was that desperate to findd his friend. God can do amazing stuff, He can change somebody to be another, to do even greater things. And i'm really greatful for that (: Oh! and eventhough we were not able to visit that friend, just pray that he'll be alright. thanks! x

helooooooooooooooooooooooooo all! (: Yc today was as awesome as usual do youu guys agree? (: our CG system has changed this year. instead of following according to our ages, YC decided to change it according to our living area. shucks! ): which means i can't be able to be with the same retarded cg members like huei minn, and jed and others. But still, hope this years CG changing will be awesome and more fun, and also, hope that all of us will stay in touch no matter what, agree? haha, having group studies or hang outs and stuff. PMR this year peopleeeeee! we need more group study agree (: hehe. anyways, i'm just really greatful for eveyrhting that has happen. that i'm going to be in the same CG as mel and selena and urm florence! without gloria. ); she's going to leave us next month, and i really hope all of us could plan a farewell party for her or something? (: she's really an awesome and sweet CG leader andd it would be different without her around this year. sighh, till here! peace out

Anyway , while we were having a prayer gathering when second service was on , I was thinking and sorting out some stuff. Listening to all our prayers that we've cried out.

It is true. All these tragedies, all the church burned cases , all the car smashing. This is one big opportunity for us to rise up as the current generation , to stand up for who we belong to. All this tragedies , it's not something that we should complain or to be emotional about , it's about What can we do about it ? Try taking all these tragedies as a positive sign. As an opportunity to rise up and declare that He shall reign for ever. And that the earth will bow down to him.

Change your perspective. Look at the world through the His eyes. We're not perfect but HE IS. All we can do right now is to support our brothers and sisters through prayer. And not to condemn those who condemn us. This , my friends . Is a golden opportunity to bring EVERYONE TOGETHER IN UNITY. While they fight against the injustice. And we shall continue to pray for this nation , that all may rise up together in unity to fight the injustice. After all , the judgment day is yet to l come and all those who sinned will be judged fairly.

Churches from all over the country has been burnt or have been attempted to. But you know what ? One day they will realize that it wouldn't have any effect on us ( besides the financial thing ) Because what they did was basically just burning down the buildings. A church is beyond the four walls. We are his people. We belong to Him. WE , ARE THE CHURCH. And whatever they would wanna do. I'm sure the fire , burning in our church will not be burnt out because of them. Sure, the devil may play it's tricks. But if God is with us , who can be against us. Dont forget that the devil has already been defeated. And we have victory on our side. No matter what happens , we will always be victorious because of our Father.

Even after this issue is over ,I pray that we will not stop interceding and showing love to others , but we will continue doing his work in our daily lifes, Impacting others with His great and unfailing Love. Until our judgement day comes. We will exalt Him high. And we shall hold on to the hopes. The light of our Salvation. The living sacrifice. As we grow stronger , and united as One Body In Christ , to work together with the Spirit of Truth.

So therefore , Don't be sad , or disappointed , or crushed , OR agitated, But rejoice in the Lord because all these things are according to His plans , And He knows what's best for us , Because He is , the Alpha and Omega. Who was and is , and is to come. So why not we continue to intercede for others with love and compassion.Try our best to be like him and not to put obstacles as excuses because the devil is defeated.

Even to the point where you see a gun pointing at you,

This unfailing love is the love of God that touches many hearts , restore many broken lifes, woke people up from their long lost never ending dreams, changing the attitude and the mindset of people. This love, my friends. Is powerful and isn’t it great that His love is ALWAYS pouring on you? Isn’t great that you’ve always have the Big J to back you up , wherever you are?

{ A must read paragraph, go ahead, don't slack! :)

But isn’t it GREATER if we shall the love to the lost souls , the people who never really felt this precious , true and genuine love of God? We’re not talking bout the cheesiness in this love. We’re talking bout true unfailing love. How do we share this love with others? Our Nation is facing loasda issues. WHAT IF , ONE DAY , we , Christians , be HUNTED DOWN by mockers , be CHASED AWAY , be PERSECUTED , LIVING IN FEAR EACH DAY. Just like what you hear in the news. People running away from their own country because of their religion. Isn’t it scary? BUT WHAT IF , THIS ALL HAPPENS?What if , you are given a choice to hold your bible on one hand , and a passport on the other hand? Which will you choose? To runaway or to stand strong , tall and firm , and hold on to bible , proclaiming that YOU ARE HIS CHILD. EVEN IF YOU WERE TO BE PUT TO DEATH. Question your faith.

Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and be put to death , and you will be hated by all nations because of Me. " Matthew 24 : 7&9

Now, back to topic. Love. Even though you’re all fired up, agitated and ready to fight back. Think twice. Isn’t this it God’s command for us to love your neighbours as yourself?

"Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other." -John 13:34-3

Now I challenge you to Look at the protesters and pray for them. Despite what they’re doing. We need to intercede for the believers who are at danger state. And we also need to intercede for those who do not KNOW HIM. For they do not know what they are doing. Jesus forgave them. So can you. Do not hold this hatred feeling against them for what they have done , but pray for them that they will come to know Christ. And when they SEE YOU , they may feel the unfailing love of God, that is fair and justice.That they may come to know Him. This is what Love your neighbours is truly about.

Act as you speak. Now all you can do is to be spiritually be involved in this.
Grab a couple of friends or go to your room and start praying in the spirit.

So you guys all know what's happening. MAJOR spiritual warfare, and now, actual, physical war. What can we do? PRAY, for our nation, for those protesting, for those who attempted arson, for those who are out smashing cars (I don't know how true this one is but my Dad even got the text, and he's not a Christian... Yet ;) ), for those who mock us, for those who condemn us. Pray for them, love them for Jesus said in Luke 23:34,
"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing"

Anger, rage, hatred, it causes the actions of humans to be naive, acting foolishly without thinking twice or at all, for that matter. The Bible says, in Matthew 5:44,

"But I tell you: Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you and pray for those who persecute you"

Not exactly the easiest thing to do in the world. Especially the world we live in right now. BUT! The Bible also says,

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13, NKJV)

AND,

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff. they comfort me." (Psalms 23:4)

So fear not! God is with you, always and forever :) Remember that, friends,

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6)

also,

"The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do no be afraid; do not be discouraged" (Deuteronomy 31:8)

It's interesting how these two verses have the exact same meaning and the same chapter. I guess it highlights the importance of it. But back to my original point, pray for them, love them. How? I'm sure most of you guys already know how to, but I expect people other than the ex-Form 2's to be reading this. The only way to love others is if God puts something, a spark, in you. It's the same way you love God. It's impossible to love Him without well, Him. It's alright if you don't get me. Bottom line, ask God to help you learn to love. He is love, after all.

Take action, pray, and believe every word you pray. Whether it may just sound like normal words to another person, as long as it's sincere in your heart, that's all God needs to work His wonders. I hope you've gotten something from this post and that I didn't just waste my time and effort. You folks have a great weekend.

I'm sure you guys heard the news , saw 'em.
And is fired up from all the protesting. I know i'm spiritually crushed right now. If there was a war and we can't get physically involved, I encourage us , young people to be spiritually involved in all this. EVERY PRAYER FROM THE HEART COUNTS. We need prayer for our broken nation. And some believers own there , is at danger state.
WE ARE RESPONSIBLE ; for we are one BODY IN CHRIST.

Face it, The world is filled with corruptions. Let’s put it this way. The world is like a wall. And it’s full of holes everywhere. Now we, are restoring those holes in the walls. WE are building the walls back up again.But soon, people will mock you, and try to make you Stumble. Would you give it to them , or will you stand strong? Would you choose to listen to those words , rather than your Father? Would you let them condemn you? Would you turn your cheek? Question yourself.

When we are united, everything is possible.People might not like you to restore the holes in the walls , well , unfortunately some people actually prefer to have holes in the wall. People will start intimidating you. Hoping that you’ll back off .But will you? That’s a question for you to truly answer to yourself.

We NEED to build those broken walls. But before that , TEAR down that broken wall.

“ Let love tear down these walls ,
that all creation will come back to you “,

Do not listen to people or get agitated and angry. Cause if you are , you’re giving into them. Be different from those who mock you. Turn your cheek. Show your love to those who persecute you. And to those who mock you. Love them. Let the true and genuine love tear down the walls. Only God's love can touch people's life and change soften their hearts.

God chose you. He gave you the authority. There is , already. An enemy trying to attack you. It’s all by His plan. And his timing. Do not let fear pull you down. Take courage , and know you’ll be protected. Trust in Him and Have faith : ) Know that your stand is right. Stand strong.

3 Malaysian Churches Attacked in 'Allah' Dispute

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) -- Assailants attacked three Malaysian churches with firebombs Friday, extensively damaging one amid a growing conflict over the use of the word ''Allah'' by non-Muslims, officials said.

The attacks sharply escalated tensions in the Muslim-majority country ahead of planned protests by Muslims later Friday against a Kuala Lumpur High Court verdict which struck down a 3-year-old ban on non-Muslims using ''Allah'' in their literature.

''I condemn these actions because they will destroy our country's harmony,'' Prime Minister Najib Razak told reporters. ''The government will take whatever steps it can to prevent such acts.''

Najib said he has told the national police chief to step up security at churches and other places of worship.

The Dec. 31 court decision incensed many Muslims, who see it as a threat to their religion. Hateful comments and threats against Christians have been posted widely on the Internet, but this is the first time the controversy has turned destructive.

The ruling was on a petition by Malaysia's Roman Catholic Church, whose main publication, the Herald, uses the word Allah in its Malay-language edition.

The first-floor office in the three-story Metro Tabernacle Church was destroyed in a blaze a little after midnight, said Kevin Ang, a spokesman for the Protestant church. The worship areas on the upper two floors were undamaged and there were no injuries.

Kuala Lumpur police Chief Mohamad Sabtu Osman told The Associated Press that a witness saw four people on two motorcycles breaking the glass front of the church and throwing an incendiary object inside before fleeing.

He said police found a wrench, an empty gasoline can and two scorched motorcycle helmets at the scene. The church occupies a corner plot in a row of shops in Desa Melawati, a suburb of Kuala Lumpur.

''We are still investigating,'' he said. He also urged Muslims not to participate in the planned protests.

Separately, Molotov cocktails were thrown into the compounds of two other churches before dawn, causing minor damage in one and none in the other, church officials said.

The Rev. Lawrence Andrew, the editor of the Herald, said many churches have employed extra security guards. ''Most churches are taking precautions. They are aware it may just blow up,'' he said.

The government has appealed the court verdict and the High Court has suspended its decision's implementation until the appeal is heard.

Muslims argue that ''Allah'' is exclusive to Islam, and its use by Christians would confuse Muslims and tempt them to convert to Christianity.

About 60 percent of Malaysia's 28 million people are Malay Muslims, while the rest are ethnic Chinese, Indians and indigenous tribes. The minorities follow Christianity, Hinduism and other religions.

The Malay-speaking indigenous tribespeople, living in remote states of Sabah and Sarawak, are the main readers of the Herald's Malay-language edition. Catholic officials say ''Allah'' is the only word they know for God.

Many Muslims in Malaysia have refused to accept the argument that ''Allah'' is an Arabic word that predates Islam, and that it is used by Christians in countries such as Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Indonesia regularly in their worship.

The backlash against the court verdict has reinforced complaints by minorities that they face institutional discrimination by the government.

On Thursday, the Malaysian judiciary's Web site was hacked and defaced with an apparent threat to Christians, The Star newspaper reported. The site, however, appeared to be normal on Friday.

The Star said the hacker, using the alias ''Brainwash,'' defaced the site with a banner saying: ''Mess with the best, die like the rest'' and ''Allah only restricted to Muslim only.''

I guess theres nothing more we can do about this than to pray. Lets intercede in this time of suffering. If we pray and we mean what we say together this dispute can be stopped .Lets pray against it.That this wont be such a big issue anymore ,that no more churches would be burnt and no one would be harmed. PRAY AND INTERCEDE FOR OUR NATION AND MALAYSIA THE COUNTRY THAT WE ALL LOVE .Lets try our best ,when ur not busy doing anything just keep praying about it .=)

Hey all of you!!

It's a whole new year and now you're all form 3s!!! whooooo!

I just want to say, I'm proud of each and single one of you!

And thanks for taking time out to commit to this blog.

This blog was made for fun initially(by Jedida) but I wanted to turn it into a tool where everyone in form 2 could connect with on days away from church, to connect with each other and be encouraged and at the same time encourage each other.

There wasn't much response in the beginning ( It was only Daphne and I mostly) but as time passed you girls starting to share and I must say I am very encouraged and blessed to have read ur posts!

And that goes to show how much each of you have grown. And I pray that you will only grow so much more in your faith in Christ with each passing day!

And even as the YC structure is changing- (there will no longer be Form 3 girls CG this year but mixed genders and ages in CGs based on locations.) I think we should just keep this blog going for the sake of staying connected with everyone in Form 3 this year. And many many years down the road you'll look back and see how much you've grown and experienced!! So I really do hope you girls will keep it running! Not solely for the sake of doing so but because you want to encourage and share with each other! Keep your flame burning for Christ!!!

hello all, today's finllay new years eve. andd just in a blick of an eye, we're a year older and the year is a year older too (: haha, happy new year 2010 to all. i could have sayy 2009 was not so good year for me. but after the conference, i've looked back at my whole well spend 2009, i guess it wasn't that bad after all. we doo greater things, helped out in community work, gain all experience and met a bunch of awesomemest poeple you can ever find (: hahaa! and lame ones too la. and the best part was, God wwas with me the whole time this year. every second of everday. i just didn't know that untill i stop and listen to Him. it's amazing what He can do to us, really. (:

soo whats next? 2010 duh. then school babe here i come. i miss school actually! God wants me to study. haha PMR next year people screams! oh well, just study hard and everything we've worked forr comes from God aye? (: breathhheeeee!

Conference is way over, what are we doing?

Are we still treating others the way we want them to treat us?

Is there a difference in the way we're living?

Can people around us see the change in us?

Or is everything back to normal the way it was?

When someone annoys us, do we choose to keep quiet, and walk away. Or do we fight back? How can we say we choose to make a difference if we live our lives the exact opposite? If we really want to make an impact we have to start at home. The next time your siblings get on your nerves, choose to be nice to them, if not just don't do anything. The next time you want to talk back/answer your parents, think first. Is this how God would want me to treat them? When we listen, stop arguing, and obey, I bet our parents will definitely see the change in us. THEN, we actually make an impact. We can't do this alone we need each other. We need to be accountable of our actions. Choose a friend, discuss with them how you can make a difference in your everyday lives. Change the way you live, stay accountable with each other. It'll help.

We can't do this alone. But together, we're unstoppable.

Ok this might be a little late but who cares la ! So for me at the beginning i was so siked ! But some things happenened ! and when it came so close to my birthday which was on the 18th of December ! I couldn care less about my birthday i didnt really care anymore i didnt care anymore what happenend at the conference ! Even on my birthday my friends tried their best to cheer me up but it didnt work ! i guess for me i had been true alot ! in friendship terms ! but my birthday was a turni8ng point for me !

When rose had called out the myanmar kids during her message and her demonstration ! I just felt sad for them ! How bless we are and we didnt really appreciate it and how little they have and they make the best out of it ! and so i just started to tear endlessly ! and I figured out why eventually ! I felt as if God was calling me to help them ! Before this i felt like i can connect wit them ! I was just so easy making friends wit them and talking and playing wit them compared to with my everyday friends ! i HAVENT REALLY DONE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS CALLING YET BUT AS I AM WRITTING THIS GOD IS GIVING ME IDEAS ! WHAT TO DO WHEN I AM WITH THEM ! WHAT TO DO WHEN I AM AT HOME ! so many things i can do ! that can help them even more and i was just so blind before that i couldnt see it ! bUT I am o so thankful now !

So after the message ! I was suprised wit a cake ! But wat u guys dont know is that i knew the cake was coming when i accidently turned around before u guys could circle around ! hehe i was just acting a long wit it hehe ! And now i am really learning the true meaning of friendship ! and i really am gonna try my best to continue wit it !I was just so surprised abouthow hard u guys tried to make me feel happy all over again and that just struck me !

Thanks u guys for all the encouragement that yal have been giving me true out this year ! and the awesome thing about it was that God specifically planned it on my 14th birthday ! How cool ! and the girl that i really am thankful for who just helped me so much to pull through my problems i Jaclyn ! You just really helped me ! Thanks for that =) i love u guys ! just like the bible says " and the greatest of this is love"

Live. Revolution. Amplified :)
Different people have different thoughts and conclusions about this conference. As For me , I honestly think that it has been amplified really well. In that sense that we’ve manage to Impact , Impart and Inspire.
By God’s graceeee la of course :)

We’ve all learned our lessons.
That is to humble ourselves , and learn to serve.
Learn to give , more than you receive and not hoping for a repay.
Learn to bless others generously, as you’ve been blessed.
Learn to love your neighbours as yourselves ,
Learn to appreciate what you have, and give more to others.
Learn that there is much more beyond the four walls surrounding you.
Learn that the world is bigger than you think it is,
learn that the world needs God in them.
Learn that at some point , you would have to reach out to them.
Learn that we were all have a purpose in life.
Learn that we have call been called to serve , and to reach out to others.
To be the salt and light of the world.
To be more than just others are.
To be different from others.
To take courage and have a stand and be strong.
To not to simply blend in with the ways of the world.
To always have bibical view on top on your worldview.

I’m glad that this conference has made it loud and clear.
That God has greater things and plans for everyone of us.
And He has chose us to do greater things for him.
Personally , I've heard God's calling to do my part.
So what say you ? Open up your hearts for him to work through you?
Or to just ignore the calling ?
( Which I highly think it’s the wrong choice! Noooo ! :D )

But let me ask you an honest question.
For those of you who signed up for this conference,
People often ask you,
“ Hey! So how’s the conference thing you signed up for ? “
And you’ll definitely go ahead and answer ,
“ Ohhh yaah , it was awesome! :D“
And you never really took the chance to explain how awesome it is.
Honestly , How do you define ‘awesome’ ?
Is the conference something really , truly , awesome ?
Or you’re just saying it because everyone says so ?
For me , it’s more than just the word awesome.

And I hope you yourself know what you’ve learned during this conference. Take some time to feed back and spend your time alone with God. Ask yourselves and Him , what has this conference truly mean ? What is the main purpose of the whole thing? I have much more to say to you people , but I think after reading all this , you guys won't be able to absorb everything. Hence ,

Do what you’re called to.
I believe we were all called for Greater Things.

Think for yourself.

I’m just proud to say that ,
This holiday has been a very productive holiday ,
and a very life changing one , indeed.

I feel that I’ve grown a lot this holiday.
And I’ve got to know myself more,
The things that I’m capable of , the gifts that I’m blessed with.
Not to forget that I’ve grown a lot more stronger in Christ, too.

I just wanna thank all you dearest sis and bros ,
especially leaders who’ve helped me a lot :D
Who’ve always been there for me.
Supporting me through prayer,

To be honest , If we are living in the world today.
And at the same time trying to portrait God's image.
Sometimes , the worldly things get in your way.
I don't know about you , but I do get distracted.
I'm weak at that point , I guess.

And sometimes when I'm around a whole bunch of non-Christians ,
I tend to forget about my whole purpose , which is to reach out to others.
Like. Reflecting His light and all ? Hrmmm..

Hello fellow YC-ians! :D
So you’ve heard there’s a Mission Trip to Slim River for Form 2s , right?
READ THIS , THIS IS SO WORTH YOUR 15 MINS ! :D

Here’s the story.
Oh trust me.
It’s Not just a story , it’s a life revival.

Before missions. I was utterly excited. Like , totally. Going for all the Saturday meetings , practices and staying back after church. I had fun even before the mission trip. ;D But the thing is , it’s not all about the fun. It’s about your relationship with God. I have a reason why I tagged along for this trip. It’s because God called me for it. Not for the sake of the fun or friends. I mean , sure. You would like your friends to go. But at the same time you would wanna have a purpose for everything you do. And the right choice. So let me tell you this , I can say that I’m a 101% thankful that I even came for this mission trip. Not only has it touched my life , but it woke me up from a very long sleep :D *snores*

What is going on in your daily lives , people ?Are you projecting the image of God , or are you just silently asleep in this world or corruption? Are you dead in the midst of your family and friends? Have you FORGOTTEN THE WHOLE PURPOSE of your life ? And that is to serve God? You’re living in this world as a test. Agreed?

I mean. This whole mission thing has been awesome. Because it made me realized how dead I was. Like as in , literally dead . I’ve barely been to the other side of the world. I just went to a small remote area in Perak. And so many things are already going on :/ What about other countries ? What bout the people who don’t know Christ. And what if they live in a small remote area that people barely even visit or know?

Don’t you feel the need to intercede for them? They are lost brothers and sisters of yours. Whether you know them or not. The person outside your house selling ice cream.; Is he one of your brother or sister ? The world is facing intense spiritual warfare. I finally realized the dangers of it. When Ps. Rose dropped us by this small altar. In this remote area. Imagine an altar in a remote area built in years ago. And people still pray to the altars. As in , the fruits on the altar are still fresh. Which means that people still come , and offer food on these altars. Think. Of the whole earth. How many gazillion others are doing the same? How many peoples life are in danger? In captivity ? Don’t talk bout the world. Talk about the people around you. Your friends and family. Don’t you care about them ? don’t you want them to be with you for eternity ? and to know Christ ? If I were you I would have teared long ago. Which I did :)

This mission trip was just a small , relaxing , pampered one. But the impact was quite amazing I’d say. I was quite ready for a very rough one though. Anyway , I’ll definitely go for it next time :D I want to. Or probably other country ? Wouldn’t that be great if you can serve God in that way? I’d say it would be a chance I’ll never regret taking.Once you go , you’ll understand how is it like.

I don’t know bout the rest of the team, but I would want this whole mission thing to be like a long term thing. Waiting for the next mission trip is just to long. I know I’m gonna continue this is daily life. To intercede for friends and family. And to project an image of God :D And I hope you all know that you’ve to start doing something with your life. Don’t just waste your life on worldly things , and worldly ways. Spent just one day with God , and you’ll discover that there’s a whole lot of other wondrous things besides the things you see nowadays in the world. There’s so much more than us the internet , the malls , the movies whatsoever. Live for God. Not for the World. ( 1st John 2 :15 . The world and it desires will pass away , but the man who does the will of God lives forever. )

I’ll leave you with 1st John 1: 6-9 . And 1st John 2:5-6 ;)
I CHALLENGE YOU TO MOVE YOUR butt and open up the bible ! :D

hey all! (: pastor angie was preaching about living a better life in church today, and what she said was really ture, we should give more than we take, andd we'll feel happy about it too, like what she said that giving something to someone in need would realy make that person feel happy, and of course the happiness of helping others wil still remain in us is longer. what i meant is we'll feel happy longer la. haha!

anyways! me, jedida, janice, selena, mandy, jonathan richard, john lim, justin, david and delon plus the leaders, jasmine, john lim, alex , bernard and pastor rose just came back from misson trip in slim river last thursday. mmm. i hope i'm not missing anyone out there, just imform me if i do. hehe, and the whole mission trip was really a life changing experience for me. we visited 4 villages all together, i've learn alot from this mission trp, i've experience how the orang asli's live in their daily lives, i've learn to lead worship and also like what selena said this morning, overcome our stagefright moment :P hehe. other than that, watching all the childrens there worshipng God realy touches me the most. we were also learn to pray in malay! (: but as we pray, i believe that God's presence was there to guide us through the whole prayer with them.

besides that, we also learn that the orang aslis are blessed equally as us. despite their daily activities, even though they don't have internet, computer, fancy cars, but they're stll happy with their lifes andd greatfully thank God for it. mmmmm, what else, they do have astro though (: like what bernard said, they have what we have, they are blessed with food, clothes, shelter. even though their living environment is different from ours, they live rather deep inside the jungle i guess, their housing areas are surrounded by trees. and what bernard said that God made the tree grow there for shelter maybe? God let the river to be there for water supply for the orang aslis and God made them houses to live in. after what he said, i've finaally understand that we and the orang aslis people are equally blessed, just that in a deferent way. we should stop drawing lines between us and the orang aslis and stop judging them for everyone of us are equal (:

yahh, thats about the most important lesson that really striked me during the mission trip, it was one awesome mission trip and we had lots of fun with everyone, at the same time we also understand God better andd felt closer to God after the mission trip. So here i am, encouraging all of you out there to take part in this mission trip, for next year, the year after next. or maybe every year, sacrifice abit of time for God, i guarantee you it will be worth it. join misson trips as it'll change your life forever, it will change the feeling you have towards God and urge to thrist for His word even more. (: thank you for your time. i hope this post is not very long. hee, siging off yaw.

Things You Need To Know:

Date: 28th of November 2009

Meet at basement by 7.30am SHARP.

We will be back around 6.00pm

Bring RM 10 for transport.

Bring permission slip to hand in.

Bring any amount of money for contribution to the community at Selayang. They are a poor community in need, so don’t hesitate to be generous. Ask your parents. The money will be used for their welfare.

Bring money also for any of your personal use.

If you are ‘mosquito conscious’, then bring mosquito repellant.

Bring all the other basic things needed. You are going for a gotong-royong, dress wise.

Dress appropriately (especially for girls) enough said.

Don’t wear white. We’re playing games. Don’t wear black either, Alex said you should wear a ‘happy colour’.

Lunch will be provided for free.

When you’re there, avoid telling people where we’re from. If they don’t ask, we’re YKPM helpers. If they do ask, then tell them.

Avoid praying in public too. Though If you wanna pray, you can do it discretely or in the bus before we arrive.

DO NOT CLIQUE. Try your best to mingle around with people there and get to know them. The committee will be watching you.

All in all, in whatever you do, don’t forget we are there to serve, to be ambassadors of Christ and to show love to the people there.

After church I spent an hour doing devotions.
And after watching the History channel about 2012 ,
I realized that time is running up. We have to start doing something.
God’s purpose for us is all personalized.
Each and everyone of us has a different purpose in Life.

Hey all, just a short update on upcoming cg outings.

1. PAINTBALL GAME with F2 guys.
Venue and price and date to be confirmed but in the meantime,
you can always google about paintball and get excited!
I really hope you girls will come and play!
We'll be combining with guys in each team so you won't die so fast yea?
haha

2. ORPHANAGE TRIP
We really wanna do this. Do you?
Phebe Lim is currently in charge.
We want to go some place where they would really need our help!
Still haven't decided.
If you girls know any place that needs help, do let us know ASAP ya?

3. MINI POOL PARTY
I'm extending this only to those who stay in PJ.
Because this is something I thought I could do for fun with you girls.
So we won't be providing transport from church.
But if you have your own tranportation thenby all means, do come!
It's at The Club at 1Utama. Any Friday of this month?
It's RM 8.40 per entry but you get to play all day!
What I like about the pool is that it's huge olympic size and it's like amini sunway lagoon.
There's the bucket waterfall!!!!

Everyone can bring a little something to eat. So it's like potluck too.

the One who exorcised demons , healed the sick, calmed the waves , raised the dead and fed 5000? Petew saw all that Jesus did and he went out and did the same. When Jesus Christ asked him who Peter thought He was , the answer came confidently : ‘The Christ of God’ (v20).
I am sure you agree with Peter’s answer.

~> But you will not get full marks for that answer , not yet anyway. Because Jesus Christ told Peter : 'Don’t tell anyone ‘. Why? Because everybody loves a winner. Everybody wans to believe in Jesus Christ the winner , the healer , the ghost buster , the super bread man , the conqueror of winds . And Jesus did not want that. He wasn’t going to be the average man’s idea of a winner. He was going to suffer and be rejected. He was going to die.

~> Only after He died and he was risen was when Peter was to tell other people that Jesus is the Christ.Because Jesus that we are to follow is the One who was also unpopular. Christ suffered , died undeservedly, and finally rose from the dead (v22).If this is the Jesus that we are to follow then we are not to be surprised at these words : ‘If anyone would come after me , he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me’. Jesus gave up his rights. We are to give up ours. We must be prepared to suffer unjustly. And we must do it everyday. ( v32)

We may have to do it ALONE.

But always remember , He is with you.

Hey girls, how many of you aren't baptised yet?

Well, there's an opportunity to do so this coming 31st october!

We'll need you to pass up your baptism forms latest by this sunday(11thoct)

and interviews will be done this 18th Oct!

Don't worry, it's not a scary interview session! You will be interviewed by the older leaders in YC. Just be youself!

Just in case you don't know, you don't need to be baptised to get to Heaven. That is not why we have baptism!

The bible says:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:9 (New Living Translation)

That's God's gift of salvation to us!

So, if we are saved already, why do we need to get baptised for????

Baptism is not just something fun to do- going whoooosh in and out of the water!

(I do that so many times in the swimming pool!That means I baptised myself over a hundred times already!!!haha) And it's not just something we do cause all our friends are do it too.

But baptism is an important step we take for ourselves in our walk with God, and for those around us.

Baptism is an outward act of faith, to show others than you are serious about your relationship with God! The act of going into the water and coming out is symbolic to leaving your old life and sins in the water, and coming out a new person in Jesus! It's a declaration of your faith and love for the one and only Jesus!

And it's important for your friends and family too, because they will be coming to witness to your faith in baptism. (That's why baptism is an open thing, not just something privately done) your mum,dad, brother, sister, even your nonChristian relatives and friends will be able to witness to your commitment to
Christ.

"Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them."

"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!"

And that's all you have to do!

You pray well or not, it does not matter. Your availability for God matters the most! Do it for God. Pray for change. Pray for the better. I can't recall the exact words, chapter, or book. I remember God says, the more people come together and pray, you are shaking heaven'. Correct me if I'm wrong :) I'll reedit. Better if you can find out the exact bible verse I'm looking for.

Yes, everyone must bring their instruments. Passionate Praise and Creative Writing - don't need. Only bring notebook and pen and bible for that.

Drummers, bassists, acoustic and electric players, bring your gear! For the guitarists, you can bring an acoustic if you want instead of an electric.

Don't miss it out people.

Heya people.
So everyone had thier cg teachings for today.
Topic for today was MASKS.
No, not exactly the ones to prevent H1N1.
What we talked about today was spiritual masks.

Actually to think of it ,
Mostly everyone puts on a mask and
distance others from their real inner self.
It's either to impress people , or hide your trueself.
It’s okay if you had a mask or you’re still wearing it.

But I felt that God had invited us all , to take off your mask.
In His Name , you’ll have freedom to be
whoever or whatever you wanna be.
He will always be there ,
guiding you no matter how imperfect you are.

You don't have exactly have to wear a Mask.
It only hides your innerself.
Sooner or later you'll get tried of trying to KEEP that mask on.

Missions camp was awesome .. Why didnt most u guys come .. We learnt alot .. The team from wycliffe malaysia came to speak .. If u dont know who they are .. They are basically a association of missionaries who go around the world translating bibles into the peoples languages .. Did u know that there are more than 6000 languages in the world and wycliffe has translated more than 100 languages .. The trip was such a memorable trip .. I loved it so much .. I loved the 2 nights when we slept after 12 on the first night because we kept chit chatting and the second night when we stayed until 3 because of chit chating too ... I am totally gonna sign up for the next missions camp !!

AS you all know, Skytrex outing is on on the 5th sept,sat.

For those who have confirmed with me, please remember to bring your rm35 on that saturday to pass to JEremy Foo.

Once your name is on the list, you can't back out ok.
If you have something on that day and can't show up, you still have to pay up the rm35.
Unless of course if you manage to get someone to take your place.

Please bring lots of water for yourself (or some cash to buy drinks)
Take note that its a two hour obstacle course so you'll be very thristy at the end.

"God Only Uses the Broken"

Nobody was given more talent than Samson. But nobody wasted more talent than Samson. If you want an example of a life completely consumed by larger-than-life appetites and sexual desire, than look no further than Samson.

But what's interesting is that just when everyone thought God was done with Samson, when the strongest man on the earth had been reduced to a blind laughingstock in the prison of the Philistines, God used this broken man to win a great victory for Israel.

If you think God doesn't use broken, sinful, damaged people, think again. In fact, those are the only types of people God uses. Sometimes in the church, we feel we have to put on masks, to hide who we really are. We want people to think we've got it all together.

Its that kind of pride that Jesus wants to puncture. It was the pride of the Pharisees that kept them from seeing their own weakness, the sin that clouded their hearts. They needed a Savior but instead, they killed the Savior.

But that Savior, Jesus, hung on the cross to provide a way for you and I and everyone who believes to be whole again. What's interesting, is that it was brokenness, the brokenness of Jesus' body, that bought our redemption.
So if you've messed up, if you have weaknesses, if you've looked in the mirror and discovered that you're not perfect, watch out. Because you're just the kind of broken person God really, really wants to use.

how's fasting?

Read and consider 2 Chronicles 32:1-23

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles. and the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said” (2 Chronicles 32:7-8)

King Hezekiah knew the king Assyria was going to attack Jerusalem. It was only a matter of time. So he gathered his advisors and worked hard to build up his defenses and prepare the city. Then he gathered the people and reminded them that no matter the size of the army against them, God was bigger. “ And the people gained confidence”.

By acknowledging and remembering who God was, they all found strength. It’s not wrong to be afraid of what you see could happen. That’s realism. What is wrong is not to seek God’s help immediately and humble yourself in worship before Him. Among other things, our praise reminds the enemy of who God is and how well we know Him.

Always keep in mind that enemy does not want you to worship God. So every time you attempt to build an altr to God in your life, the enemy will try to stop you. have you faced any frightening opposition in your lefe lately? Have you felt the enmy of your soul waging a full attack against you? Are you sometimes overwhelmed at how little strength and power you feel in the midst of it all?

Don’t worry; pray, and remember, “The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world”( 1 John 4:4). When King Hezekiah faced a strong enemy, he told his people the truth – God is greater. Keep in mind that when you acknowledge and praise God in the midst of enemy opposition, there is far more power with you than there is with the enemy!

FASTING month starts tmr!!!!

what have you girls decided to fast on?

(nope, you cant fast from homework ok!)

we're suppose to fast from things we are just so used to doing everyday.

cos many times, we focus too much on our earthly routines that we sometimes loose our hunger for GOd.

example, when you're tired or annoyed or empty you could sometimes resolve to snacking and eating(basically just munching anything bcos it keeps you occupied) it may or may not be a conscious habit but you should know that only GOd can fill us spiritually la. so maybe there's where you need to fast from your habitual eating habits.

or it could be the internet, blogging, TV, PSP, facebooking ( many times we just look to these things to fill our emptiness without really knowing so. )

Bcos it's just soooo eay to click on the TV or log onto the internet and start chatting away on MSN when Im pissed off at something or sad or PMSing or annoyed and irritated.

Bcos it's so much easier to ignore God and just dwell in earthly habitual routines.

seriously, it's so easy to just ignore or forget God that

it's scary how much the world's distractions can do.

but that's where i wanna challenge you girls to take charge of your spiritual lives and begin to block out these distractions. (im not saying that facebooking or TV is bad or that you should stop doing all these things and become a monk!)

nope, there's a great difference when you are able to stop yourself and to be able to connect with God throughout the day; letting God fill up our empty souls instead of threading on in the world on emptiness.

cmon, I challenge you girls!!!

maybe you'll fail the first few times you try. it doesnt matter. at the end of the day, what really matters is that you spent time praying and building on your relatonship with God!

Fasting is about making that connection with God out of your mundane lifestyle, and perhaps letting GOd change your lifestyle.

just so you know, i'll be fasting from food and my favourite TV series!

How Do I Know God's Will?
Four big questions we all ask.

How do I make good decisions? What does God really want from me? Does God care about every little choice I make?

The big question behind all of these questions, of course, is this: What's God's will for my life?

We decided to explore the sometimes confusing issue of God's will with four spiritual leaders from Christian college campuses.

Do my decisions really matter to God?

God cares about what's going on in our hearts. In any decision we have the opportunity to choose who we will worship. Will we worship God or will we worship ourselves? God desires to be the highest priority in every part of our lives.

In some areas of life it's clear that there are right decisions and wrong decisions—like the choice of whether to cheat on an exam. In other areas, we need to make choices between two good things—like making a decision between two great colleges. It's quite possible God would be present in and honored by either decision. Other times the choice may have to do with a gray area—something that's not necessarily right or wrong. These are opportunities to practice wisdom. For example, spending a lot of time talking on the phone or texting friends may be a good thing. But if there's never any time when we are just quiet and still, it can be harder for us to be aware of God's presence. Being wise might mean turning the phone off from time to time to quiet your heart so you can be more attentive to the presence of God in everyday life.

Sometimes when we make decisions, it can seem like we're trying to work God into our life story. But really, we are part of God's story and God is delighted by our desire to live with that focus in mind.

How do I discover God's will?

First, you have to make sure you're seeking to obey what God has already revealed in Scripture. This includes things like obeying your parents. That's a clear instruction from God. It doesn't really work to ignore God's revealed will but yet expect God to answer specific questions like where you should go to college.

As you study God's Word and spend time in prayer, your relationship with God grows and you begin to understand God's character. You will then be in the right place to hear God's instruction for other areas of your life. In addition to Bible study and prayer, be willing to seek godly counsel from a mentor, pastor, or your parents.

If we're serious about following God's will, we have to recognize that it's not about getting what we want, but doing what God asks. We must trust that he is faithful and good, and that his will is what's best for us.

Will God ask me to do stuff I don't want to do?

God may call us to do things that don't feel natural to us at first. But as we listen and respond to the call of God, we get connected to our deeper desires. After all, the things God calls us to do are things that he created us to do.

Many of us have habits that we find comfortable or that we enjoy. In the long run, though, those things may not meet our deeper spiritual needs. For example, we may have a habit of seeking acceptance by conforming, following the crowd. This is easy and can make us feel like we are accepted, but actually this habit can prevent us from being who we really are meant to be. It's scary to take the risk of letting your true self be known, but God calls us to do that.

This process makes me think of a cross-country runner. Getting to the point where it's enjoyable to run requires the runner to work and do things that may not be easy. But when the runner is in great shape, it is a true joy to run. Likewise, once we start down the path of doing the work God calls us to do, we find great joy in doing it.

What if I miss God's will?

Making a poor decision doesn't mean we're forever out of God's will. That's part of the beauty of Scripture: It has story after story of people who make bad decisions, but God still uses them mightily. Just look at Abraham and David. They both did some things that were clearly wrong, but God worked through them to accomplish great things. God can use all of our decisions, whether they're right, wrong, or neutral.

Also, we need to remember God is our Father. God is not here to condemn us, but to help us become more like Christ. If we are focused on Jesus, and on holiness, some of those other things will fall into place. God is not a cosmic trickster who only gives us one shot to get things right.

Wicked Words The day I destroyed Phil with just a few words.

My stomach dropped when I saw Phil* walking toward me in the cafeteria.

"Please tell me he's not coming to talk to me," I whispered to my friends Lena and Alyssa.

"No such luck," Lena replied. "In fact, he looks like he's on a mission."

That's what worried me. The winter formal was three weeks away and rumor had it that Phil wanted to ask me out. With thick black glasses, hyperactive sweat glands, a bad case of chin acne, and the tendency to use the word "cool" a few hundred times a day, Phil wasn't exactly the man of my dreams.

"Hi, Christy," he said, his voice cracking as he uttered the first syllable of my name.

"Hey," I mumbled.

"Uhhh, I was just wondering if you'd like to go to the winter dance with me. I think it would be cool," Phil said as beads of sweat formed at his temples.

My friends couldn't stop giggling.

"So, what do you say, Christy?" Alyssa said with a smirk. "Does Philly here need to go buy you a cool corsage?"

It's true that I didn't have a date yet, and I did want to attend the dance, but if I went with Phil my friends would tease me to no end.

"Not interested," I said flatly as I looked at Phil's glistening forehead and dotted, bumpy red chin. "I'd rather go alone than be seen with you."

The moment the words fell from my lips, I could feel how harsh they were. "Oh-oh-OK. Cool," Phil said softly. "Well, I guess I'll see ya around."

With his head down and shoulders slumped, Phil slouched away to a table on the opposite end of the cafeteria.

I watched him sitting alone, staring out into space. Here was a guy who had probably spent the morning working up the nerve to ask me out, and with just a few words, I'd crushed his spirit.

I knew God wanted me to treat others with compassion and kindness. But instead, what had I done? I'd blurted out something hurtful.

I looked across the cafeteria. Even from a distance, I could see a sadness in Phil's eyes.

I felt absolutely horrible, knowing that I was the cause of that sadness.

I knew exactly what I had to do, so I took a deep breath and asked God for the courage to go up to Phil and apologize. As I approached Phil's table, my stomach knotted up.

What if I say something stupid and make a fool out of myself? I worried. Or what if the words come out wrong and I end up making things worse?

When I reached Phil's table, all I could utter was a soft, "Hey."

"Hey," he echoed just as quietly.

I fidgeted with the shiny zipper hanging from my backpack as I tried to find the right words—any words. My mouth was dry and my palms were sweaty. I couldn't help thinking that this was probably how Phil felt when he approached me.

The awkward silence was excruciating. Finally, I couldn't take it any longer.

"I was rude to you," I blurted out. "So rude. And for no good reason. I'm sorry."

I glanced up at Phil, but he was quiet. Clearly, he wasn't in much of a talking mood. He kind of nodded, and I grabbed my backpack and went back to my friends.

My actions that day reminded me just how powerful my words are. They can either build people up or tear them down. As Proverbs 18:21 says, they can bring life or death—and the choice is mine. I made the wrong choice that day. I let my friends influence me way too much. I was afraid of being teased, so I lashed out at Phil. But there's really no excuse for the way I acted. That afternoon, I promised myself and God that I'd always do my best to use my words in a positive way.

As for Phil, it's funny the way life works out sometimes. A few months after I'd said those mean things, Phil became my lab partner in science class. To my surprise, it was an awesome partnership. Luckily, he wasn't the kind of guy to hold a grudge. He treated me with a great deal of respect—just as I should have given him right from the start. Think about someone in your school who often gets picked on. What could you do to lift this person's spirit?
Read James 3:3-12. What does this passage tell us about our tongues? How do we keep our tongues from causing pain and destruction?
- Jas 3:3 We put a bit into the mouth of a horse to make it obey us, and we are able to make it go where we want.
- Jas 3:4 Or think of a ship: big as it is and driven by such strong winds, it can be steered by a very small rudder, and it goes wherever the pilot wants it to go.
- Jas 3:5 So it is with the tongue: small as it is, it can boast about great things. Just think how large a forest can be set on fire by a tiny flame!
- Jas 3:6 And the tongue is like a fire. It is a world of wrong, occupying its place in our bodies and spreading evil through our whole being. It sets on fire the entire course of our existence with the fire that comes to it from hell itself.

- Jas 3:8 But no one has ever been able to tame the tongue. It is evil and uncontrollable, full of deadly poison.
- Jas 3:9 We use it to give thanks to our Lord and Father and also to curse other people, who are created in the likeness of God.
- Jas 3:10 Words of thanksgiving and cursing pour out from the same mouth. My friends, this should not happen!
- Jas 3:11 No spring of water pours out sweet water and bitter water from the same opening.
- Jas 3:12 A fig tree, my friends, cannot bear olives; a grapevine cannot bear figs, nor can a salty spring produce sweet water.
Over the next few days, make a conscious effort to compliment rather than criticize.

The Crazy sleepover at Gloria's House

Heres my story . At 12.30 i reached church and i was late , half an hour late .. haha .. so we were in the van and these two guys from college cg come because they wanted to have lunch wit the driver , sam wong later . I was planning to do my homework in the van but i just couldnt .. Haha . I ended up talking about boys .. Then we reached and started playing some hunter , bird , tree , earth quake game and we gave ourselfs an adjective name .. After that we made some kuih .. Kuih oboh oboh and something else ..After that we went for a treasure hunt which was crazy fun and our legs and hands were tied together throughout the hunt . After the hunt we played water games .Which was totaly cool and i ended up getting totaly wet by jaclyn , melisa(most awesome mellisa), euginia, junee (juggly junee) and eunice (exciting eunice).Later we ate pizza and chit chated and joined glorias home fellowship for worship and then we played some mats game and the forfeits were wearing crazy stuffs like glasses, shower caps, pore packs, skirts and hats , scarfs and belts .. After that we watche mean girls and ate ice cream at 12 mid night and then we watched bring it on which i selpt half way .. at 8.30 we woke up and gloria made her fluffy bunny pancakes and we ate soseges, french toaste, pancake wit ice cream , omelets and milo with ice cream . After that we ate junkfood and went for a walk and then we watched star dust .. It was a tottaly memorable outing and i hope to go for another one soon . photos will be coming out soon .. =)

Hey .. So i recently .. ok maybe not so recently .. A few months ago .. i joined the 1 eighty mag .. because i wanted to write articles .. So i joint . Then one day i decided to write a story for fun .. but not intensional for the mag . But then suddenly brain juices started flowing and word after word came out . Then i decided to email a copy of it to the 1 eighty mag editor, Crystal Cha . I really didnt think it was that good anyways .. and i didnt think she would publish .But to my shock , she did .. i know its nothing big , But to me it was coz i have a passion for writting and finally seeing one not dissapear from my life long rope of dreams made me tremendously happy .. Thanks to God.. . I learnt many things form this :

1. Even young people like us can do things that older people do better.
2. We just have to have the courage to persue what we love and not be put down by anything anyone says or discourages us about .
3.If you think u are good at something , go ahead for it ..

Praying For Grandma

"Not again!" groaned the boy sitting beside Penny. " We pray for your grandma every week."

Tears sprang to Penny's eyes. " But my grandma isn't saved yet. I love her, and I want her to go to Heaven."
Every Sunday that year, Penny asked her Sunday School class to pray for her grandmother.
One Sunday, Penny told the students, "My grandma is in the hospital. Please pray that she'll ask Jesus into her life before she dies."

That week Penny asked her father, "Daddy, can we please go visit Grandma on Saturday? I have to talk to her about Jesus one more time. I just know God will answer my prayers."

At the hospital, Penny held her grandma's hand. " I love you, Grandma. I want to see you someday in Heaven."
Grandma hugged Penny and smiled. " You will, dear child. All week I've thought about the things you've told me about God's love and forgiveness. Last night, I prayed and accepted Jesus as my Savior."

The next week in Sunday School, Penny raised her hand at the prayer request time. A girl next to Penny sighed. " We know what you want. More prayer for your grandma again." Penny smiled. "No. I want us to thank God for answering all of our prayers! Grandma became a Christian last week. She died yesterday. And now she's in Heaven with Jesus!"

Going To Youth Group for all the Wrong Reasons
I knew I should be paying attention, but there was so much to talk about instead.

"WOW." I said aloud the word my friend Jaimee* was "signing"—with three raised fingers in a "W" shape on either side of her "O"-shaped mouth. I echoed her gesture.

"Wow!" mouthed Jaimee.

"Wow … Wow … Wow," I repeated quietly.

Jaimee and I erupted into giggles, but quickly stifled them. We sat in the back row of youth group, as far away from any youth leaders as possible. We knew we should have been paying attention to Giles's sermon, but we had no desire to listen to our youth pastor. There were movies and song lyrics to quote, boys to discuss, and inside jokes to crack.

Jaimee was my closest friend, but since neither of us could drive yet, we could only see each other at youth group. And her friendship was what mattered most to me.

I'd met Jaimee my freshman year. My family had just gotten settled into a new church and I met her at youth group. Before long we were the best of friends—completely inseparable when we were at youth group events.

Jaimee was the only person I trusted. We confided in each other about absolutely everything, including the guys we were interested in. So, the day a classmate told me that Jaimee was pursuing the guy I liked, I was stunned. I tried calling her so she could explain, but she wouldn't return my calls. My shock and confusion became outright anger that I could hardly hold in.

The next Sunday, I waited outside of youth group to confront her. As Jaimee's mom's car pulled up, I sprung up from the bench I was sitting on, ready to explode. I managed a polite "hello" to Jaimee's mom, but once she drove away, I started in.

"Why? Why would you do that?" I spat out. "You knew I liked him. Of all the guys in the world, why did you go for him?"

"I don't remember you ever saying you liked him," Jaimee innocently replied.

"Are you kidding? That's all you and I talked about for weeks. And you didn't even know him until I introduced you."

"I guess I didn't think you liked him that much. And I can't help it if someone you like happened to like me instead." She shrugged, quickly turned away from me, and walked into the building.

I stood there fuming. All I could think was, This is supposed to be my closest friend. And she's a total liar.

Over the next few months, I tried to reconcile with her. Even though she never admitted to betraying me, we made up a few times—but then she'd backstab me in a different way soon after. Our giggles and jokes turned into icy glares and the silent treatment.

It wasn't long before Jaimee stopped going to youth group. Even though she was my main reason for going to youth group, I decided to keep going. I ended up making some other friends, but I noticed they were different. They were focused on worship, attentive during messages, and really open during small group. I admired them for what seemed like a genuine faith, but I still wasn't sure I wanted to be like them.

The next summer, I decided to go on the youth group's annual summer camping trip. On a placid lake in northern Minnesota, miles from civilization, and without distracting friends, I actually listened to what Giles was saying.

Throughout the week, he taught on Colossians 3:1-3: "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God" (NIV). During an evening message, he said, "Setting your mind on things above means doing everything because of Jesus." He continued, "The passage says you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Is that you? Have you died to yourself? You'll know by how much you hunger for God."

I felt totally convicted. I didn't have a hunger for God. I was totally focused on earthly things. Thinking back to my relationship with Jaimee, I realized I had a tendency to make my friends into idols. I had often let them take the place of God in my life. During a morning devotional time, I stepped into a canoe with only my Bible, a journal, and a pen. I paddled a good distance away from shore and soaked in the stillness.

The lake was calm and the morning breeze cool as I started thinking and praying. I opened my journal and wrote a prayer: Lord, I've learned I can't depend on people. I can only depend on you. I confess that I've idolized friendships and I want to change. Forgive me for my sins, and help me to walk with you and put you first.

I left that week with a real hunger to understand this God I had just been pretending to know. I still struggled with placing my friends above God. But I realized that if I seek God first, I would start hearing and seeing God through my friends—in their words of encouragement, hugs, and examples. My friends became more than just people to talk to and joke with; they became my brothers and sisters in Christ, who walked alongside me and continually pointed me to God.

Not Good Enough: New artist Lanae Hale was a teenager plagued with insecurities. But you probably would have never guessed. She was very involved in school, grew up in the church, sang on the worship team, and was a student-leader in her youth group. "But inside, I never thought I was good enough or pretty enough," she said. "I heard about God's love a lot but didn't think he loved me. I believed it about everyone else, but not for myself."

When a serious romantic relationship ended before her senior year of high school, Lanae felt her self-doubt was confirmed. "I decided I wasn't worth anything," she said.

A Growing Addiction: After the breakup, she couldn't control her emotions. In a moment of desperation, she used a metal angel figurine, a gift from her grandmother, to dig deep into her skin. "Because cutting and hurting is an addiction, this habit just kept growing," she said. "Whenever I became upset or emotional, I would dig or cut. Somehow, I thought I was fixing my own problems, but it only made me more broken. I was only walking farther from God."

True Worth: After more than two years of cutting, Lanae "suddenly realized that nothing I was doing—cutting, alcohol, sleeping pills—could ever give me the peace that I knew God could bring. I couldn't fix my hurt. I could temporarily numb it, but it would always come back full-force and leave me feeling more empty and alone. For the first time, I thought, Why am I running away from what I know is true?

"Nothing really changed at first, but as her family began to reach out to her, and as she discovered Scripture like Psalms 139 and 149, her life slowly began to change.

"I begged Jesus to heal me, but like any addiction, it was not a quick, easy fix; it was a process," Lanae said. "When I re-committed to God, asked him to heal me, and gave the control back to him, he began to pour this love into me I'd never known. This was the love I'd always heard about, but now I began to see that it did apply to me. I saw who I was in him. I felt Christ's love and forgiveness shine for me in a real way."

Appointment with God

Read and consider Genesisi 3:1-9
“Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, “ Where are you?” (gen 3:8-9)

Certain places just feel like this garden. Something about the lush vegetation, the time of the day, or the sounds of nature all provoke an almost overwhelming longing in us to experience what Adam and Eve enjoyed every day – a walk with God. The world is still a wonderful setting in which to know God, but something has changed. It changed way back there, in the garden.

The first two people gave up the pleasure of God’s company for their own interests!!. They heard the sound of God walking in the garden, looking for them, wanting to enjoy their usual walk. But they had sinned. Guilt overwhelmed them. They were ashamed to see God. They lost the close relationship they had with Him, and we’ve struggled to recapture that closeness ever since!

God didn’t hide from man; it was the other way around. Adam and eve ducked into bushes in shame, fear and rebellion. But God came looking. He knew where they were, but He wanted them to know He was willing to seek their company. He was aware of their disobedience, but kept his appointment with them anyway!

What amazing fellowship they forfeited! What peace they lost! And yet, before we critize them, remember how easily and how often we repeat their mistake. We make choices that draw us away from god. We experience overwhelming moments of His presence that we wish we could wrap up and keep; yet hours later we turn our backs on Him, trying to shut His gentle whisper out of our lives.

We have to plan and hold sacred the places and times when we meet God. If we don’t deliberately build our lives around these “garden walks” with the Lord, the world will relentlessly fill our hours with other commitments. As He did with Adam and Eve, God will come looking for us. But how much better would it be if He found us waiting expectantly? I don’t want Him to have to call out” Where are you?” What about you?

Keep Praying

Too often, many of us question God or blame him whenever something terrible occurs.

Like Tsunamis and earth quakes and wars and people suffering, hurting and dying.

But let's remember that God doesn't just allow things to happen in vain.

Everything happens for a reason.

And if God allows something terrible to happen,its so that a greater good will come out from it.

Romans 8:28

When life is cruel and unjust, keep praying.
God is the victim, not the cause.

One is used daily to help folks decide

No! It isn't the Bible,

but the T.V Guide.

As pages are turned, what shall we see?

Oh, what does it matter, turn on the T.V.

So they open the book in which they confide

(No, not the Bible, it's the T.V. Guide)

The Word of God is seldom read,

Maybe a verse e're they fall into bed

Exhausted and sleepy and tired as can be,

Not from reading the Bible, but from watching T.V.

So, then back to the table side by side,

is the Holy Bible and the T.V Guide

No time for prayer, no time for the Word.

The plan of salvation is seldom heard.

Forgiveness of sins so full and free

is found in the Bible, not the T.V

I just think we should add spiritual and christian things also on this blog .
Not only pictures and stories.

This blog can be used to share amazing stories about God .So i took it up to share amazing things about Jesus.
So weekly / as often as possible . I would post up some posts.. about Jesus and the word of God. Do read them as it may help u in ur journey with God.. Just like how Gloria posts up, sometimes. Water into Wine

The first miracle that Jesus did was at a wedding feast in the town of Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother, Mary, told Jesus that the wedding host was out of wine. Jesus told the servants to fill the water pots with water and then when they dipped it out, there was wine in the jars. Jesus had turned the water into wine.

John 2:1-11

Calming the Storm

Jesus and his disciples were out on the lake when a storm suddenly came up. Jesus was asleep in the boat and his friends were afraid. They woke him. He got up and told the storm to stop and it was completely calm; the wind stopped blowing and the water was still. His disciples were amazed! "Even the winds and the waves obey Him," they said.

Matthew 8:23-27

Healings

Jesus healed Simon Peter's mother-in-law who had a dangerous fever. She got up and served them.

Matthew 8:14-15

There was a man in Jerusalem who had been blind from birth. Jesus put clay on the blind man's eyes and told him to go wash in the pool of Siloam. When he washed the clay off, he could see.

John 9:1-41

Once in Jerusalem, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus asked Jesus for mercy and healing. Jesus told him that his faith had cured him and the man praised God for his sight.

Mark 10:46-52

There was a paralyzed man in Capernaum. He couldn't walk, so his friends took him to see Jesus. There was such a crowd that they could not get him into the house where Jesus was. They made a hole in the roof and let their friend down through the roof. Jesus told him that his sins were forgiven and to rise, take up his bed and go home. Some of the people doubted Jesus at first, but they were then amazed as the man stood up straight and tall.

Luke 5:17-46

Ten men who had leprosy asked Jesus to help them. Jesus was not afraid of the disease. He told them to go and show themselves to the priests, and as they were going, they were completely cured! Only one of the ten lepers ran back to Jesus and fell down on his knees and thanked him.

Luke 17:11-19

What does this story
mean to me?

Jesus turned water into wine, controlled nature, and healed all kinds of diseases. These miracles proved he was sent from God. If we believe God and Jesus created all things (and we do believe this), changing water to wine or healing a lame person would be a very easy thing for Jesus to do. As the Master of the Universe, he has power over all things. Let Him control your life as well. The choice is yours.

CG Outing

Hi guys, so what do you think we should have for our cg outing:

- amazing race
- crazy hunt at the mall
- barbeque and swimming
- sleepover
- visit to an orphanage (instead of thinking of our selves we can think of others)

I was thinking we go to a christian orphanage .. I know there's one in bangsar. We sing some songs play some games and some of us to share.. instead of having fun by ourselves; We can bless others.

Fresh Bread Every Day

But He answered and said, 'It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' Matthew 4:4

Have you ever tired fresh bread that has just come out from the oven? CAn you remember that fragrance? Can you remember the aroma of flour, egg, sugar evenly mixed to create the staple diet of our lives every day?

- I don't know about you girls but I absoultely love love love bread!!!- the pastry kind :)

Imagine a slice of cheese melting on top of that hot peice of bread. (i know daphne is drooling :) haha) How about a cup of freshly brewed coffee to accompany it? Thinking about this reminds us of the thrill of having a wonderful breakfast every morning before we go to work.

Friends, this is how our quiet time ought to be every day, so that even as we prepare our hearts well, just as how we would prepare a porper breakfast, there will be magic every time we spend this personal time with our Lord.

We do not yield to our physical needs alone. Jesus said that man shall live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. His words give strength to our spiritual body. They are life to our spirit. They help us to be strong when times are hard and challenging. They help us stay focused. They cause us not to shake even when the earth is trembling.

Take away the word of God, and all of us will be humans without a soul. Therefore, prepare a good breakfast now, and get ready to encounter the God who created you!!!

I know this blog hasn't been very hip and all that since it started!

Keepsakes and Treasures - Journaling

How many of us actually keeps a journal of our journey with God? *raise raise raise hand!!*

I know sometimes it may seem like a troublesome task after a day full of events; most of the time, I just wanna do my work or flop into my soft comfy bed and sleep!

But looking back, I'm really glad I started jounaling! (in form 2!) when I read back all those old entries I wrote, it makes me realised how truly blessed I am and how much God has changed my life! Sometimes, when I'm really frustrated or sad, it reminds me how great God's love for me is.

Journaling is a habit worth having. If you haven't started yet, why don't you now? :)

Luke 2:19

It is important to chart our journeys with God. As an old friend used to say, we should 'litter our lives with altars.' She meant that we should set up reminders for ourselves of what God has done for us in the past.

Record everything-your thoughts, your goals, experiences, events, versus that are speaking to you at the moment, and even your prayers. Chances are you will be amazed to see how faithful and gracious God was to you.

Keeping a journal is a way of learning the 'missed lessons' of the past. It is a way to tangibly see how you have grown and changed, and to measure what really went on 'behind the scenes' in the story of your life.

Journals are also great ways to look back and see how God spent months and years preparing you for certain things: Many times the real story can be read between the lines.
